I remember once in my highschool we had a bomb threat. Then, everyone's backpack was checked, along with locker and they found nothing.

I thought we'd get a day off of school, too...

Scary for you though...they actually had them.

Some explosion, man!

If it was a chemical explosive, it was nothing larger than your average firecracker (I expect that is what it was). Anything much larger would certainly have caused severe injuries to the custodian's legs.

Could have been something as simple as vinegar + baking soda, but it certainly wasn't a serious explosive.

seriously at worst it was draino and tinfoil.

these things arent designed to explode when handled either, they are supposed to build up pressure and go off, some times dumbasses get the ratios wrong and there isnt enough pressure to blow it. at that point its prety volitale, and could go off if touched...., but i dont think that anyone could manage that on purpose

Thats kind of freaky, still.

There was a guy going around setting fires all over campus here for awhile last year. Burnt up some buildings pretty good. He said he just "Liked to see the fire trucks..."

Yeah, this really doesn't seem like a terrorist act. But it does seem violent and dangerous, and highly unacceptable.
