As long as it's someone who has a firm grasp of the Constitution, we'll be OK. I think that we'll end up taking the shaft though, at least on some issues. A nominee who has a strong pro-gun record and conviction will probably not see that others have the right to alter their state of being and will be against drug legalization. We'll just see how things go, I guess.

I would like to see Janice Brown get the nomination. But whoever gets the nod, it is going to end up being a big battle and I predict the first nomination will be shot down by the Dem's. no matter who it is.

He should bring Robert Bork back just for the hell of it. They are going to shoot down his first nominee anyway, so why not piss them all off in the process. It will make for some good entertainment. :cool:

From what I have been reading by their statements they are going to fight this next nominee with everything that they have got. It is a power play. They want to send a message to Bush that they have the power to shoot down his nomination unless they get one that totally agree with.

And they will get enough Republicans to cave in to their demagoguery to stop the nomination.

my guess is that even robert bork will turn out to be a roaring liberal compared to both roberts and miers..and more so with miers...the liberals that managed to bork bork will soon live to regret it...
