HELP STOP POLICE BRUTALITY USING TASERS!!!

hello,i have been lurking for a while and have never posted,but things have happened recently that i must let everyone know about

my very close friend Patrick Aaron Lee was murdered by the police.....he was a good man with goals and plans for the future,plans to marry his girlfriend and have children and to make music...for a full story as of now http://www.wkrn.com/Global/story.asp?S=3900884

please give us your support,we have staged our 1st protest today and there will be many more,we are working on a website where people can send donations and learn how to help....
if this goes unchecked ,you could be next...this particulular brand of tasers has KILLED SEVENTY PEOPLE since its introduction in 2001...yet it still qualifies as a non lethal weapon!!!

protect your future,and the future of your children,the police are treating these evil tasers as toys,we have to get these things out of polices hands!!!

no man, police brutality is beating ppl with batons for no reason... thats y they got tasers in the first place, and cops only use them if the person is going crazy or trying to attack them, so no i will not support this shit

why do you think your friend was wigging out like that. did he take to much acid? pcp? did someone slip something in his drink?

How many people do you think have died, or suffered brain damage because of a baton to the head?

he must of been on somethin, tasers dont jump ur heart to the point where u can have a heart attack unless ur on a speed thats already makign ur heart go fast/working ur heart to much

the thing is...he was severely beaten,his face was so swollen you couldnt even recognize it,and his entire naked body was sprayed with mace twice.....more and more details keep coming out

and we dont know yet if he was on anything...the preliminary toxicology showed alcohol and thats it so far

y was he beaten so bad? cops dont just pull a rodney king on anyone nowa days unless theres a reason. maybe he was struggling to get away so they kept trying to stop him. do u have pics of his face? were there witnesses to prove this was police brutality? have u seen the video in the cop car, or heard the mics that cops carry on there chest? there r ways to prove if this was brutality or not. if u really want to avenge ur friend, dig deeper and see if he was beaten just "because" or if he was trying to fight the cops

btw sry bout ur friend, i know it must be shitty, and yes i know cops r stupid. but if u take away their tasers then they r going right back to their 9mm/.45/.357 then if they shoot someone they will most likely kill them, when if they shoot u with a taser u have a big chance at living through it

i agree with thegatewaydrug, if you take away their tasers, they go back to their guns, which are much more lethal than tasers. Sorry about your friend.

Yah...your title is kind of a contradiction. Police use tasers to avoid brutality, as police (in Canada) carry a retractable metal beating stick, called an Asp, and a .9mm. Tasers are non-lethal by design, though a pre-existing condition could cause extra stress to the body, as could the contents of a person's blood as it affects their heart rate. My Dad is an RCMP officer, and since the issuance of tasers no longer comes home with cuts and bruises from having to wrestle/fight with drunks, chemical druggies (GO Shroomers/Smokers!), wife beaters, rapists, burglers, etc., etc. Obey the law and remember that the police work for the population, not the government.

That said, respect to your friend. Losing anyone is tough, and its unfortunate when arrests end in death as that is almost never the intent of a good law enforcement team.
