i think it works, i used it on mine, now it's pinning. i'd say go for the super bright led lights, they're bright enough to burn your cornea.

Not really, I still know how to use the search engine. If he has been here for that long he should know how to utilise the site instead of posting a question that has been talked about many times in the past.

Not a big deal, but the way you approach members of the forum says a lot about your character. Yes, I registered on the site almost 5 years ago. I haven't been here since maybe... 5 years ago. If I had known the site revolved around the search engine, I wouldn't even bother posting anything. This is a forum right? Where we can have discussions?
Enough of this OT discussion. I'll search in the future to appease the gods.

Yes!
A single white LED will give you enough light. Even if it's only on breifly, several times a day. Proof --- Personal Experience,

First off at the top of this page there is a thread that states "Searching the Shroomery for information." Maybe you should take a hint. Or do we need to plaster it everywhere.
Secondly i would love to see you try and grow MJ with LED's, they have no spectrum anywhere near what you need to grow it. Before you shoot your mouth do some research. And you obviously have nothing better to do either.

The colored LEDs out of electronic equipment, blue, green, yellow etc. aren't very effective. But, being a cheep bastard, I canibalized a string of White LED Xmas lights. played with the limiter resistor and... works great!
Have fun!

They have 5watt high spect. led`s now a days here getting nut's with it. No heat ,little energy and new technology. Have you tried and set up 100 5w led`s in a custom box? Or just experiment with different spectrum and light intensity blah blah stoner ramble....

Well I thought your question was pretty simple onig.
Not like these guys with 1 post that ask "how do I build a fruiting chamber and what do I do with the horse shit and what is vermiculite?"
Almost any light will work. There are exceptions of course, but your LED should work good!

I've seen it a few places.... off the top of my head I don't remember a "stuy" but heres a link i did rember. Apprentice Casing Tek also in another artical they say only use red light for inspection of colinizing material..... "You don't have to mess around with the lid right away, though. TMC suggests leaving the jars in TOTAL darkness for the first week or two -- even to the point that they suggest using only a red light to examine the jars for growth and/or contaminants. The book also suggests NO air exchanges during this initial growth phase. I guess you could leave the lids loose like I suggested, but leave the lid on the box."
