Nipple piercings

So I've had my nipples pierced for about 2 months now, and I want to go bigger. I ran into the guy that originally pierced them (and did a great job) and he told me to stop by at his new shop sometime and he'd do it for me. Then tonight me and a girl friend stopped by a different shop to check out the tatoos and the piercer there said all I really need to do is buy the 12 gauge bars and I could just shove em through the 14 gauge holes I have. Anyone else done this? Sounds like there shouldnt be any problems.

there is no way in hell anyone is coming near my nipples with a needle....that aside, i think they are hot on women.

If your listen to that piercer you can do some painful damage to your nipples man. The proper way to stretch them is using a device that starts small and then gradually gets larger. It will be way better than just shoving it through. Are either of these places APP certified??

Painfull damage like what? I dont think it would tear anything as it isnt much biger. I know it is gonna hurt, but no pain no gain.

im aware of stretching techniques, ive got .5 plugs in my ears...i just dont want a needle going through my nipple(s)

Like tearing flesh. Also nipples take the longest of all piercings to heal. I would suggest you wait until they're healed before you go and start fucking with them more.

Yes! you could stick in a 12 gauge in 14 holes very easily. I say 2 months is a fine period of time for making them larger.

Nipple piercings are not the piercing that takes the longest to heal.

(owner of 36 pieces of metal and pierced over 150 times)

Yeah, but just because you have a lot of peircings tradenmar doesn't mean that you haven't damaged your self. By your own description of your self I believe that you don't mind pain and wouldn't take notice if you injured your self.

Okay not the longest to heal, cartilage takes longer. But i still say that he shouldn't just shove it through. Especially on the nipple. I have seen some of the most complications with nipple piercing. Cartilage can have the more serious complications.

You can tell and injury when you have one. The pain from a piercing and a piercing gone wrong is way diffrent.

if you look at the gauge chart provided above the diffrence between a 12 and 14 is only .425mm which is smaller than any taper you can find so you are in the clear...

I just replaced the bars that I originally had put in my nipples a week ago with slightly higher-gauge rings. It stings a little, and probably set back the healing process slightly, but I think it looks a lot better, and I'm happy for having done it.

This really has nothing to do with your question, but I thought

it was funny so I'll tell you anyway.  My sister's old boyfriend

had his nipples pierced.  One day he went to a place we call The

Tressel, which is a bridge where lots of kids like to jump off into

the water.  Well, he jumped with his nipple rings in and his shirt

off.  The rings were ripped out of his nipples and he bled for hours.

I find that hard to believe. He would have to be very high up to get that much force it would seem. I have had alot of pulls on my nipples with quite a bit of force with no problems of them even coming clos to ripping out.

Just got bak from the piercing shop with my sterilized bars, but there is a minor problem :frown:. One of the 12 gauge bars says 1/2 and the other one says 5/8 on the steriliztion pouch, it also has 1/2 and 3/8 scribbled out on it lol. Oh well, no one should be able to tell but me.

Just put the 1/2" through my right nipple. Everything went smoothly but there is like this clear layer of somethin on the bar now that I can only see if I slide it around. Must be my skin or somethin.

I would never get my nipples pierced becuse I am afraid someone might grab on them for a joke and rip them out tearing my nipples and making it painful and bloody..

If I had nipple rings that would concern me, but I think it would be pretty damn hard to grab the bars I have through my nipples.

I'm kinda worried about the one that I shoved the 12 gauge bar through, it's kinda like there is a thin clear film on it when I slide it around that is from my nipple. Hard to explain...
