TEK: Halting apartment managers and other employees in their tracks...

Here's the Redneck TEK on how to properly manage an indoor apartment grow, security-wise...

The situation:

Unannounced inspection visit:

Landlord: "Hey there, how are you doing today? I just need to come in and check the plumbing.

You: " What? The plumbing is fine.."

Landlord: "Yeah but we're inspecting everyone's apartment for possible repairs because Joe Smith in 304 recently had a pipe break from corroded pipes, it will only take a minute."

You: "Hold on a second. I do a lot of work out of my apartment, and I'm right in the middle of something. You need to come back or something, it's 3 now, I'll be done at 5, will that work for you?

Landlord: "I'll be right in and out."

You: Hey, look. I pay the rent on time every month, don't I? Well, I have an extremely important call to made, that I am already late in making because I'm here talking to you. So, if you'll simply come back in 2 hours at 5, I'll be happy to let you check the pipes. Right now is not a good time, and in the future I'm going to need at least a day's notice in advance for things like this, you must understand this, my business requires it, and your rent depends on my business.

Landlord: "Oh, O.K."

Then simply collect all your shit and lock it up before 5. A locking file cabinet your casings can fit in is excellent for this, after all, you're involved in some sort of home based business.

You'll need to invent a home based business to tell them about if they ask what you're doing.

Just tell them you're in some kind of MLM thing. Hand them a fucking Amway leaflet, and you'll never see them again. :grin:

Try to have them stay and talk about God, too, hand them a Jehovah's Witness pamphlet that you were gonna throw away, but you saved just for this. You won't see them again until it's time to sign a new lease, and then they'll probably mail yours!!:lol:

Be sure to make sure they aren't a Jehovah's Witness "too" before trying this (or an  Amway (wo)man)!! LOL It could backfire completely if they were.

Ask them what religion the are first, and say "Ever heard of Amway?" before handing them the pamphlets.

Hopefully they won't be Jehovah's Witnesses or an Amway salesman, if they are one of these, then shift your attack to the other one.

(If they are a Jehovah's Witness, try to sell them Amway, if they are an Amway salesman, try to convert them to the Jehovah's witnesses!)

If the are both, YOU'RE FUCKED ANYWAYYYYYYYY!!!!

I know in las vegas apartment managers have to give you 24 hours notice before entering, but a good write up, but it's kind of risky, if the JW, or Amway cover was blown you could raise some eyebrows, just hold a firm line with they must give you 24 hours.

How would being a Jehovah's Witness raise eyebrows? If anything it'd just make people think you were extremely weird, but not in any way where they'd want to search your apartment because of it.

allow people to run business' or charitable organizations from them, you are in

the last place I rented the land lady never came by unless I called her, in fact
out of 3 apartments I rented none of them ever came by unless I called about a problem

once the landlord cmae in on me while i was illegally blowing glass on the 4th story of my appt, and said she needed to come into my rom, i told her my girlfriend was sleeping naked in there... she didnt go in.

If you have no fear of embarassment, you could strip completely, stomp over to the door, swing it open violently, pant, and say "what? I'm busy, and now is a really bad time" in a stern as hell voice. After that I'm sure she would call you and at least give you an hours notice. Remind her of last time and tell they it will be a lot longer than an hour before you're finished.

yeah, if they come in after you request that they dont, they can get in some shit. I dont think "work" is a good excuse, but saying that your girlfriend needs time to prepare for guests is. If they continue to proceed, I would let them know that their actions are an invasion of privacy and they may find them selves in court it. You are required some time to get decent, and all. Afterall, your girlfriend is sleeping.


They usually dont come when im home wich is the scary part. They come while im away, and theres not much i can do about it
