 anthrax scare and postal confiscation

with the recent anthrax scare has anyone had a problem or situation with postal confiscation of their spores or syringes being mailed to them?
what do you guys think..is it still safe to have syringes and prints mailed to you at your home address? do you think the post office will start opening "suspicious" packages and discover who is having mushroom spores mailed to them?

I dont know thats a good question. My friend is still waiting on a couple prints from at least a month ago that he knows were sent out. They probably got taken out of the mail. This is the first time anything like this has happened to him so he thinks it's a sign of the times. Who knows though maybe they both just got lost. it could happen...

true...spores are legal but it is not really information i want any government affiliated agency to have about me. just because the spores are legal doesn't mean they don't know what they are being grown into. i don't want to become part of some master list that will be turned over to dea agents in a couple of weeks only to have my door kicked down a month or two after i have recieved these "legal" spores.

The U.S.P.S. can't open a package without a warrant. I've had no problems receiving spores since 9/11.
I wouldn't, however want to live in the D.C. area. Their mail will be the first to get zapped.

Yup. I live in the D.C. area. Heard recently on the news that they're implimenting the mail iradiation soon. Good thing I grew some when I did. Now I can take spore prints.
Hey Xar I wouldnt worry about anything- it's not like the police are gonna knock on the door of everybody's house who's bought spores. No new procedures have begun to check mail contents or iradiate for anywhere except the D.C./Metropolitan area.

I just still think It's kind of odd my friend didn't recieve 2 packages from reputable people in the states. It's never happened before this. I guess they could have gotten lost but what are the chances. Anyway I guess he'll just keep waiting and hope they come. (but they probably wont)
