    #4493889 - 08/04/05 06:10 AM (12 years, 8 months ago)

I'm traveling to New Orleans soon and I was wondering if anyone had any good restraunt recommendations. I'd love to have some great gumbo, jambalaya, crawfish, seafood, etc.. Its my favorite!!

brennans, cafe du monde (for the beignets), an emeril restaurant if you must. There are a lot of resonably priced eateries all over the city with decent food, try to venture a little beyond the touristy areas though.

Cool. I'll look that stuff up on google. Some info on bars and stuff to do at night would be appreciated too.

Jacque Imo's (Maybe closed for August Soul Food - Cajun)
Dick and Jenny's (My Favorite Creole Restaurant By Far)
Lilette (Contemporary Parisienne French)
K-Pauls (The First and Still Best Cajun)
Commander's Palace (For Lunch)
Antoine's (For Lunch)

Enjoy. If you go to Dick and Jenny's or Jacques they don't take reservations so you have to arrive early, like at 5:00, if you don't want to wait.
