What are you going to be doing over there? I applied for a job in Afghanistan doing a 6 month tour. I would have been working in a grocery store type atmosphere, selling smokes and crap like that. Also getting large orders of food and supplies ready for troops that are leaving the base on exercises and stuff.

I ended up not being able to go because it was such an early roto and because I had no previous overseas experience. There is a strong possibility that I might apply one more time for Roto 6 next year and see what happens.

Good luck to you, you will come home different.
