Music, Art and Literature subforum

I was just curious how hard it would be to make a sub forum.
I always find it hard to look at or find art in this forum. It seems to be mostly music oriantated (which is expected in a site like this). But im sure this site has many artists amature and profetional. But everything get burried befor it gets seen.


My Idea was mabey have it "The arts" Forum. Then have "Music" "Art" and "Literature" Sub catigories.

Any idears or sudjestions? Good or bad.

yea thatd be even better.. Iv always hated digging through pages of sub forum on other sites.

So have you mods already disscused this? How hard is it to change the site like that??

It would be very easy to add subcategories to MA&L. Let's get some more feedback, for those who frequent the forum are you in favor of this change?

It's a pretty slow forum already and personally I don't think it's needed to make subforums

Yeah that would be my only argument against it..MA&L moves so slowly that it's hard to overlook anything that gets posted there even if you just check it once every few days.

I agree with the categories. I go mostly for the music and art, and it would be nice to easily see what subject each thread pertains to.

Okay guys, I added subcategories to MA&L. Maybe the mods will be cool and go through and categorize old posts :wink:. Anyway I hope this makes the forum more enjoyable!

Hey can you please add a Film category as well?

ooh, and photography... it could technically fit under 'art', but then again so could everything. I think it's more handy with a couple more categories.

Yeah both suggestions are better than what we have now. Which would you guys prefer, a big "Visual Arts" category or additional "Film" and "Photography" categories?

Seperate would be cool. But one big category would be easier for the mods to organize.

I did start this idea, if you need any help. Id be happy to spare some time on the weekends or somthin(Im preaty computer literate)
