How's the weather in San Fran this weekend?

I'm going to be in Frisco this weekend. How is the weather up there. I need to know hot to pack for two nights. I know SF is usually hot as shit in the day and freezing cold at night, but cali's had bit of a heatwave. I'm in socal where it hit 107 degrees today.

Should I bother bringing a hoodie? I was planning on bringing two tshirts and two long sleeve button up dress shirts.

I was talking to my homie up thar and he said that
it's been really nice and warm up there lately.

if you're going to be in SF, the ONLY safe bet is
multiple available layers.

if you're going to be anywhere else on the peninsula
or oakland/east bay, then it'll be nice and warm without
much chance of split-second weather shifts.

bring your board...

OB is one of the best beach breaks in california when
the wind isn't too high...seriously dude.

Meh I can't, I don't have enough time and it would cost 100 bucks round trip to bring on de plane, boss, de plane. I might end up renting one. I know the SF area has the best waves the the lower 48 hands down.

SF Surf on Noriega or Wise in the Richmond off Great Highway
might have rentals.

They may be spongy BZ's but you could say you paddled
out at VFWs or OB.

SF should be in the 60-70 range...east bay/south bay 80-90s

That's why I love it here...don't like the weather, drive 20 miles!

I'm sure I'll be walking out at night.. a light long sleeve dress shirt is the heaviest I was going to bring

afoaf... I'd kill to check out mavericks on a day where it's actually on. we should drive up there on a weekend where we know a swell is hitting

Pillar Point BOMB.

i'm not worried about the rocks, deadly 50 foot waves.... I've surfed through a tropical storm on a long board (used a long board for the first time) in the gulf of mexico this summer. I've gotten over my fear of drowning violently. I'm just terrified of sharks.. go figure.. is it that big of a problem at maverick's? Do you need ppl with jet skis and harpoons n shit?

I have great stamina (more will than physical stamina) and can paddle like a madman. I've read that it's possible to paddle out with a longboard if you take the LONG WAY out (which means paddling over a good quarter mile around the danger zone". I've surfed ventura which has a hard current that will push you from the surfer's point to UNDER the pier a 1/4 mile away within 5 minutes if you don't keep paddling quickly on some days. I've got some practice... but I've got years before I have the conditioning anywhere near a fraction of Jeff Clark... I'd go to just watch.. fuck surfing it. Maybe I'll hi steamer's lane or something If I had the itching to get into the water.
Mavericks has to be one of the most holiest places for surfers worldwide. The more glory, the more risk I guess. But fuck.. what a way to die... to say you were eaten by a shark and ripped to shredson a rock @ mavericks. We should all be so lucky

For those who don't know WTF we're talking about, these are shots of this spot near SF we're talking about:







These are right near the shore and are about the size of the waves that almost killed everyone aboard tha cruiseliner a couple of months ago.

afoaf.. what part of LA area you in? We definately must surf sometime when I get back. I've got a 7'6" piece of shit that I learned on for a year. However, now I've got an extremely LIGHT 7'3" gun that duckdives like no other. I'm still learning to balance. Next big swell... I say we hit up HB with a vengence! I got some peeps down there we can start up a bonfire with. In fact, there's a shroomery member out there that I actually ran into on a surfer web site that lives in HB. We used to surf together in the mornings when I lived down there.

PM me your screen names. I say, next big swell... we do it up!!!!

God damn, I miss HB. A beautiful 10 mile long beach with legal bonfires, lots of privacy, lots of great live music all over the city, far enough yet close enough to LA, the most consistent waves on a day-2-day basis in the entire state of california, and beautiful women. Not TOO much more you can ask for!

it's supposed to cool down this weekend around the bay, and the fog is back. just bring a few layers and you'll be alright unless your nightcrawling. I'll see you fuckers tomarrow! PIG!
