LC strings

Quart jar, 1 inch myc settled to the bottom, strings extending to the surface & little white myc islands floating on the surface.

thats an awesome pic agar, how big of a grow you got man?? lol isnt that enough LC to inoculate like 10000 jars??? or is it just some sort of experiment youve got going?

Weird... Same thing happened to me in quart jars.. only problem is I didnt use it for a while and my Islands got contammed even though the rest looked fine.  :rolleyes:

Wow that's nice. I'm looking to start an LC. I was probably going to use tyvek as lids with the metal bands, and cover the inoc hole with a small bandaid. What do you suggest for PC time? 25 minutes? Thanks!

I PC mine for 20 minutes at 15 psi. I use malt extract and dextrose,



works great.

Agreed

Even the mix.

You can get Light malt extract
and dextrose (corn sugar. used for secondary fermentation to create bubbles in yer beer! :smile:  )
from your local brewing supply store.

3% solution. Mix makes for quick healthy thick myc growth.

I use a tablespoon of each per quart distilled water. They supply nutrients for growth.
