Alright godamnit, I am through writing long posts and having them disappear!!!! I'm not sure if this a problem on my end or is the sites fault, but I just lost a looooooooooooong post and now I'm pissed and going to bitch anyways :) When I am writting a post and I notice a mistake I made somewhere in the post, I move the cursor to the mistake and hit my delete key, the thing is, if I don't let that cursor sit there a second and blink a few times then the delete key acts as a backup key and I get taken to the previous page, then when I hit forward, my text box comes back, but its empty and I have to start all over again. This is SOOOOOOOOO frustraing, I have put up with it for a long time now, lost more long threads than you even know. So is this just my stupid keyboard, or does this happen to anyone else?? I know this isn't really a suggestion, but we don't have a bitching forum so I thought I'd post here :) I have a feeling its probably my stupid keyboard and the fact that one key as two functions(which is STUPID) If it wasn't such an important key I would have ripped it out by now :) LK,

I think this is actually a function of Internet Explorer. It happens to me, but my text is usually there when I get back. Also, I'm usually fine as soon as I click inside the text box. It's just when I click outside the box for some reason that I get fucked up. My assumption on IE is because the backspace key has never made me go back in Netscape.

Always highlight and press cntrl+C after you write a couple paragraphs. Then, if you lose something, you can cntrl+V. I keep the mac version of notepad open and cycle back and forth when I am writing a bunch. Pasting large blocks of text into my notepad thing has saved my ass a lot.

I've never had that happen before but I see how it does do that. I tried it and when I hit forward my text is still there though. It's always a good idea to do what PGF said just in case something weird happens.

Yes, it's a 'Windows Hotkey' function of Internet explorer, it's a stupid key to choose and Alt+Left cursor does the same thing anyway.
