Bonnaroo bound kids beware

If you're travelling to Bonnaroo this weekend, stay away from Murfreesboro. The cops have setup undercovers in the Wal-Mart parking lot. Our tour bus got raided last night while we were parked. Got 7 of 11 of us w/ possession of marijuana. One of us got a felony for possession of 150 rolls of ecstasy. Don't let ANYONE on your RV/Bus. Just a fair warning for anyone travelling through the area. Also heard that they are searching all vehicles going in. Be careful kids.

shit man that's fucked up... although i don't live in the states and am therefore not attending to bonnaroo i'm sure a few shroomerites will find this info very helpful... thanks for sharing  :thumbup:

I wonder if they are doing this now this year because of the law they passed that cops get to keep the money they confiscate for the police force. This law should be a hard on for small town cops where festys are held :mad2:

That's a good question...did everyone on the entire bus consent to being searched, or does a different law apply to searching of group transportation vehicles? (I'm under the impression that they can't search you or your belongings without your consent...)

Murfreesboro has the worst policing in tennessee. everyone take his advice. if you need to stop for something... just drive right through that town and stop for what you need somewhere else.

That's pretty wild. Sorry to hear bout that Billy. :frown: Im guessing as mindcandy said the local cops have a hard on because they get to keep money seized for the PD. I think I read about it in the Politics forum but Im not sure. Somebody posted an article on it.
