Happy Shroomiversary

Last night, after a margarita and a burrito, Eileen and I headed back to her apartment and mixed a couple of raspberry vodka tonics.  Eileen poured out the last bit of a small batch of Ketamine someone had given her, enough for us each to do one solid line.

Slightly dissociated and armed with our drinks, we went up on her roof and smoked a bowl to bring the sun down behind the skyline, then went down to sit on her fire escape after pointing the stereo's speakers out the window.  The fire escape points towards the center of a square block where each building has a garden behind it.

We sat there, fucked up, watching people barbecue down below and peering through windows to see other people in their apartments.  CD's came and went just like the cooling breeze that was passing by occasionally.  Another vodka tonic was made, another bowl smoked.

A mix was on, and my current favorite track was on, a song by Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.  I stood up, looking towards the sky as my jam blasted out the speakers behind me, and relished my intoxication.

Big Mind shut down, and Little Mind stepped up and opened wide to soak in the world.  I stepped outside myself, seeing me standing there on a New York City rusty fire escape, beautifully stoned.

I thought to myself, This is an archetype.  An archetype for a type of person.  A psychonaut, who knows the value of a moment set aside in a state of inebriation, for the sole purpose of pondering one's own isness.  And my mind stretched out to think of all the Shroomerites across the country and the entire globe, on their fire escapes or porches or beds or in their parks or cars, wherever they might be, just being.

Being here, being now, being high in mind, just being.  Space and time, our endless enemies, stretched out like a grim reality between myself and each of you.  Connection!, I thought.  That's it.  Life is all about connection.  If everything is fractured from itself and fractalized, then connection and communication is the Purpose.

So happy Shroomiversary to me, and three :cheers: :cheers: :cheers: for the Shroomery.  This place is a hub, a nexus, where there and then can manifest itself into here and now, and the ache of disconnectedness can find a soothing balm in simple conversation with others similarly high in mind as one's own self.  The internet lets us build a community not defined by a culture of geography, and I think this community is one well worth being a part of.

I :heart: this place!  Here's to 2 years gone and many more to come.

It was a really negligible amount of Ketamine, and I was aware of that. Usually if I'm gonna do K someone has, I only mix it with pot because of that very reason. This was teensy tiny though. One miniscule line. It was kinda the perfect amount.

VERY. I once did a whole bunch of it after packing a bowl.

I sat there, staring at my hands. In one hand was the lighter. In the other was the packed bowl. I wanted it so bad, and now matter how much I told my arms to move, they would not do it.
