i frist came here in 1997 when the sight first opened,
back when i was messing with pint jars and BRF...
i should have joined, but i was too paranoid.
i think anyone here for Four years or more,
should get a Shroomery Bachelor's Degree.
maybe, we could draw up some kind of test...

I had made a little list of the 10 oldest members that are still posting, but I don't remember what thread it's in. Just go to the User list, and sort by regestration date.

I, have been here since December `97, with the exact same account. In `98 or `99 the Shroomery's server had a nasty crash. As a result of this crash, some information was lost. Some of that information was the registration dates of many users. When the Shroomery switched to the newer Bulletin Board system the software automatically updated the missing registration date data to 03/01/01. 03/01/01 is the date the Shroomery was converted over from the old BB system.
You can't go on registration date alone, you must figure in Member Numbers # as well.
If your first list didn't have me in it, it's probably inaccutate. After all I'am member #181!
The only other member that I know that has been around longer than me and still post from time to time is Cherry Bomb. I do believe her member number is lower than mine.

Yeah those registration dates are not a good way to tell who was here first. Even the user numbers aren't that accurate since many of the old users had accounts deleted and the next person who signed up recieved that low number.
I remember my first nick thorvidar had a lower number than I currently have but it changed when Ythan changed my username to Thor for me.
Bomb was definately old school, the 1998 shroomerites are what I'd call the first real year of the shroomery and of course Its Pat you were there from the start 
You must then remember anonymous posting back in the day, what a mess that was

i got all your asses beat as far as registration date goes (at least thus far, in this post), but i first came here in 97 way back on the first server (before the move to shroomery.lycaeum.org).
thor: i bet you wouldn't guess it but i distinctly remember ever name you mentioned on that list 
btw - wtf was that one fella's nick. "shroom king" or something along those lines. he was the mod of the cultivation forum before i was turned into the mod of that forum... he had the pics of those really sweet flushes way back when.

Haven't seen you in these parts in a long time.
Funny how you can just forget about someone, but when you read their handle it brings back an entire set of memories that have been stored away.
outofthisworld and kake I ain't thought about until you mentioned them in your post.

Yeah Cooper was one smart mo-fo, I miss his posts in the political forum. He dropped by for a while I think in 2001 or maybe even last year, but he's dissapeared yet again

Nice that you're still around, Thor! Though I'm new in your light, I can understand the ability of time to fly... so many things seem so recent, yet have faded into such a distant past. Here's hoping I'll be here for your 10th year running

God damn time flies... I still remember all those names
citizenfish1 was perhaps the coolest person i knew, i liked him very much. He was even setting up a vendor business but then didn't and disappeared :-(
As for kake i talk to him now and then, he'd probably shit himself that people actually remember him.
George was a cool guy and PK hated me, i remember that, when i'd come to chat she'd ban me for no reason.
