That urge

To smoke a bowl, a joint, whatever. It comes so suddenly whenever I'm feeling very pissed off, or stressed about something. Mostly while I'm just at work. Since I passed my drug test for work I got an eighth last weekend and I finished it just yesterday. Now I'm quitting again until Bonnaroo.

Even though I passed the test for work I am going to look for a different job. I just can't take this same old shit every day/night. I've been there over two and a half years and I can't take it any more. The only thing I look forward to at work is some of the cool people I work with. But I feel my time is up and I must begin a new job.

So whenever I try to quit I always get the urge. I think that since I'm stressed/tense/angry/whatever, a bowl will just melt those problems away. It really doesn't. It just makes me forget about those problems. They're still there, but I just don't have to face them since they are lost in the hazy cloud of ganja smoke. I noticed I had the urge real bad while at work tonight, but I just forgot about it and I feel great right now.

So what are some things you do to get over that urge? I used to let it get the best of me and I would just go out and buy some pot, even if I knew I couldn't afford it at the time. I'm better with that aspect now, but I could still use some work.

Tomorrow after I finish my last final I'm meeting up with my girlfriend.  A drqawer will be opened, and a HUGE joint we rolled earlier tonight will be lit up and taken straight to the dome.  All the while we'll be on her roof on a beautiful 70 degree day watching the manhattan skyline flicker in the sunlight.

My methods are not so healthy. When I want to smoke ganja and I cant, I drink. If I don't have any alcohol I just smoke a lot of cigaretts. If I don't have any of it (which is actually the best) I play guitar. It's the best way to melt away my frustrations. Writeing also help, when I'm frustrated with my playing.
