Signature Length

Why is it that I get the Signature too long error even if the signature I try to submit is less than the allowed 750 symbols (749, and I spent 10 minutes cutting and editing so I could fit in those 750 symbols)?

Could this amount be increased? There is not enough place for etc. codes which can take a significant amount of symbols :frown:

750 is plenty....
How long is your signature on paper?

From 870 to 770 to 749. Like everyone would start writing novels in their signatures if the allowed size was 1000.

You should optimize that links...

Well, the main question is why do I get the error message with 749 characters which to my knowledge is less than 750?

Done and done. Now it's not linked to the streaming audio though, but to the file which needs to be downloaded to listen. I hope people can live with it. Thanks!

I had the same problem with my signature... 749 characters... I had to edit it down to 742 or something before it would load.

And look, 750 characters doesn't always cover a lot of space.

Just a thought, you could use ShortURL to shrink the size of your links and then you could fit more text in your signature.
