Problem with mozilla firefox
    #4054719 -

This only happens for some sites and I'm not sure whats different about about those sites. All that happens is when I try to go to some sites I get a window pop up saying it can't connect to the site, so I try the same site in IE and it works fine??? Mozilla doesn't give me any specifics on why it can't load the site...... Anyone experience this and got past it?

hard to say...this should not happen.

I recommend just starting fresh. just follow this: start>run>"firefox.exe -profilemanager" w/o quotation marks and delete your profile (you need to close firefox first). You can also do this manually by deleting C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\

Next, just uninstall. Download the latest firefox and reinstall.

personally, I like to start with a new profile after each installation/upgrade - things can get a little weird if you dont. be sure not to just uninstall - you need to delete the profile.

Funny,... I get the opposite happening

i've noticed quirks with both browsers

maybe some sites use client side VBScript instaed of javascript. Only IE can understand vbscript as far as I know
