The Wailers...
    #4007197 - 04/02/05 11:40 PM (18 years, 11 months ago)

Whew man, just got back from a Wailers concert.
It was most of the old guys from Bob's time with some new additions, and the singer sounded damn near dead on Bob Marley.

The show had to be one of the best live shows I've ever seen. It was full of so much energy. They put on a great show. And with people in the audience lighting up all around, it was nearly the same as it was back in the day.

If these guys ever roll around your town, go to the show. A friend and I went on a whim because we had nothing better to do but it turned out to be great.

I saw a poster for them in a music shop today. I wish I could have gone. Sounds like it was an amazing show.

How was the ganja puffin there? One big hazy blue cloud above the crowds? Damn, dude, you lucky. On the other hand, there's always Reggae on the River.com, yes I.

Not the wailers, but I saw Toots and the Maytals like a week ago, had a blast.

I saw them last fall at the Austin City Limits Music Festival, and they saved me from a very unpleasant state of mind cause by modest mouse, a very overcrowded stage, steady heat, and a few grams of some cubensis.

Saw Toots and the Maytals there too, the day before.

I have seen them numerous times, as well. I have a bunch of pictures of them on stage at Bonnaroo, in 2003. I don't have a scanner for these pics, sorry. The Wailers are the shit, though!! The bass player has dreads that drag the floor!
