mixing strains

has anyone ever thought about injecting two different strain into on jar. i would like to hear anyones opinion on this one

so its not a good i dea they won't live to gether like crayons. they wouldn't combine and make a really crazy strain.???

Crayons in a box dont mix together and form new colors (unless you leave them in the sun), they stay in their own little crayon space. But putting 2 strains into 1 jar wont get you anything but pissed off mycelium.

If your thinking your gonna make a hybrid, Its not as easy as that. If you inject two strains into one jar, they will compete for space, and odds are only one of them will fruit. Its a good way to see which strain is stronger though.

I did this shit once (i posted this before) - I had four holes to innoculate - two with Cambodian and two with Lipa Yai - and the Cambo stalled very quickly, while the Lipa Yai took over - Only Lipa yai gave a couple of crappy fruits
