the third order of amphibians.  not a hwole lot known about them, relative to the others at least.  VERY interesting creatures!  teh only really common ones are the aquatic ones that are taged as rubber eels in pet stores.  very very few places have them in this part of the country unfortunatly.

and YES, i LOVE my buckets of dirt!  so dont even go there people :grin:

you sure? ive heard people talk about it but never got a good answer. you can openly buy them in north america and i have had them shipped (with an inspection) here from florida with no prob. but then places up here openly sell land snails, roaches, and stick insects though....the monitoring of exotics is what one may call slack...

as do most.  but they are my favourite animal to read about...although i cant understand a lot of whats been said about them.

a buddy of mine has been lucky enought to travel to central america and africa to look for and bring some back!  unfortuantly none have lived to this day :frown:

it is illegal to import vertabrates thatt are not fish from south america, caecillians are often sold and imported as 'worms'
this is illegal and yes, the control is slack

so teh ones from india/africa/mexico/central america would be legal then? that would make sense seen as mine were from mexico and africa.
