dry leaves keep forever in the dark.
light breaks this one down.
the herbs that suffer over time have nice volatile oils - not this salvia.
-
salvinorin is a waxy crystal not a volatile oil.
it won't sublimate away.
(I keep it in plastic in a drawer anyway)

i will have to slightly disagree!
i believe they lose potency with time. and the commercial bulk leaves are weaker by this very reason, shipping, heating, etc..
but sure homegrown salvia will stay potent for a good while when well stored...
