in japan, the sequel to mario brotheres 1 was alot like the first one, but here in a america, we asked for one more diffrent from the first one, so they took another japanese game (forget the name of it) that was'nt released in america yet, and added people from mario brothers and called it mario 2,, so really it's not a real mario brothers game, but it is now..

and the original sequal to mario brothers 1 is available on the super nintendo, the collection of mario games called "super mario brothers all stars", it's call "the lost levels" (i think??), but really it's the REAL mario brothers two..

BTW, those were some really fun links. I loved Mario 2, but it was the only one that I never beat. I came close...damn close... but I never finished the game.

I never actually beat it until I played it on the Game Boy Advance when I was working tech support last year.

mario 2 is probably the toughest of the 3 on nes. Ive played em all so many times when i was little i can walk thru them.

Best nes game ever is castlevania.

mario 2 rocks... ive beaten it soo many times though. its all about the magic potions and luigi's weird jump with the leg kicks :grin:... i still play mario all-stars every once in a while..

Heh, I have that Know Your Mushrooms wristband too, DeepBlue...but the one I wear every day is the green one with the 1-up mushroom on it...getting it tattooed on my wrist in May.

Oh man! That game was fucking awesome, definitely one of my favorites on the nes. I could never beat it though because the last level was such a pain in the ass, it was just a damn maze.

I could never make it past the part on the jet ski where you have to jump cement walls. Bugged the piss out of me.

yea dude that level is impossible! i could never do it either no matter how many hours i'd try to do it. it seemed the longer i tried the more fucked up it got too.

The ramping jumps part of battletoads is bogus. I could never beat it with out cheating.
