At a suicide website, I read that getting a big tank of helium with a mask to put over your mouth, and just breathing helium until you asphyxiate, is a painless, clean way to go out. It's more accessible in a good suicide form than carbon monoxide too (unless you want to go sit in a garage near the exhaust of a car, as a friend's brother did to commit suicide,) but make sure you have a day or so before anyone finds you just in case something goes wrong. Perhaps get a shotgun or something so if the helium doesn't work you have another method.

Or just go out the Hunter S. Thompson way, and tell him I said hi.

Horrible idea man. It's a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Wounds heal, believe me, and this is nothing to be contemplating suicide over. There's always a future, you've just got to decide how you want to look at it.

sorry to be cliche but althought i am not aware of your current situation, suicide is usualy not the "best" answer.

but the "easiest" way would probably be combination of sleeping pills and corbon monoxide, or charcoal party. also maybe check out alt.suicide.holiday newsgroup.

Out in my old home town there's ALOT of teen/young adult suicides, and almost all of them are guys killing themselves over a girl. One of the suicides was a little different, and kind of sad. This one guy shot himself after his friends found a bunch of dildos and gay porn in his apartment. In the urban world it's not really something to kill yourself over, but this was in a red neck hick town.

It's pretty bad when society is so close-minded that people feel it's necessary to kill themselves over something like that. Who cares what a bunch of homophobic sister-bangers think anyway?

It's true, most suicides seem to be men in their teens to their 50's and it's usually over some girl who doesn't even care about them. A relative of mine killed himself, and I think his recent divorce had a lot to do with it. Just try to think about the people who care for you, how they'd react. I'm not trying to guilt you out of suicide but it makes sense when you think about it.I know these words are meaningless because you're feeling so down right now, but she's not worth getting upset over since she fucked you over so badly.

It's a piss-poor attempt to rationalize your situation, I know it's going to hurt for a while but here's the deal:

you WILL get over her!

SUICIDE IS NOT THE ANSWER, it's not a cliche it's a fucking fact. Maybe in extreme circumstances when nobody is willing to listen, but I don't think those come up very often.

That's a terrible story. Reading that really made me think, what is the point of bothering someone else? why not just let them live? I fucked with people that had personal problems, i'm not saying being gay is a problem but I used to think it was and I used to mess with people that I thought where gay, stupid, etc.
But, being messed with myself pretty much made me quit messing with everyone. I learned the hard way of karma

I'm not suicidal over a woman. Heck, I'm not even interested in women. I was just retelling some of the tragedies of my home town, which is ridden with small world ignorance. I'm not sure how anyone can interpret that as me being suicidal.

You not only want painless, but you want a sure thing. A gun would certainly do it, especially if you used a shotgun. Thats a pretty messy thing to leave behind for a friend or family member to find. Your best bet would be a nice bottle of valium or oxycontin and a half gallon of vodka. You could find the LD-50 for either of these, calculate it for a person of your gender/weight and take 2-3x that. Make sure you wash it down with plenty of 100 proof and make sure you get a good amount down. It would be really shitty to wake up in a hospital bed puking and convulsing.

Anyway, about the gay guy that killed himself. There was some poetic justice after that. Apparently the guys brother found out that it was his friends that drove him to suicide. Needless to say 3 people got the shit kicked out of them red neck style.

I was wondering, at which point would it be ok to kill yourself?,say you had a horrible, pain full, terminal disease and you top yourself,does that mean you have to come back and go through it all again, to serve your sentence.Could be a good argument for euthanasia,as you'd be off the hook. :confused:

People, please.
I don't think it's appropriate to discuss methods of "easier" suicide among those prone to actually do it if it suited their needs.

I believe people will do what they'll do, that the Universe is fixed, but for God's sake let's not kill ourselves or take part in eachother's demise.

There are so many horrible ways in which you can botch just about any method, or have second thoughts. Life is too precious.

I have had to oversee the euthanasia on my mother.
I myself almost died on the ICU with a heart attack.
Death is not just another topic, and should you give advice you  are morally partially responsible for what others do with it.

To those suffering: Life can take a turn for the good in almost any case, no matter how hopeless it seems. God has made sure you will totally and completely die at the end of your life but I think it's your task to take that life by the horns and ride it out for as far as it will go.

Don't give up on life.

And don't give out suicide advice that'll encourage people and land them in a wheelchair a paraplegic with half their face missing, their spine crushed into gravel or their organs rotting from a half-assed poison recipy.

We're all behind a monitor but don't put people ON a monitor with BS advice.
