Some People are Such Assholes

So my car is dead and i need a jump and i don't know anyone who lives by me because i moved here a little bit ago. And all my neighbors aren't home. So i am standing in my driveway by the street trying to wave people over (its just a neighborhood street) out of the 7cars that past me 3 stooped to see what I wanted then left when i asked for a jump. the said "i cant sorry" "I'm running late" then one guy just said "no" and drove away. I don't get why they cant stop for 5 min to give me a jump. everything is hooked up and ready to go all they need to do is pull into my driveway. They don't even need to get outta their car!!! but its raining now so i had to come in. but if anyone lives near Joliet IL and wants some Super Karma and 5 Shrooms hit me up with a PM.

No no, it's not they're fault. You don't know how they're lives are man.
Maybe they have terrible lives and can not be late.. Or they were raped by a guy with a so called broken down car..

Preserve the anger and try and find the reason why the car needed to break down.

it broke because it was raining. when the inside of my car gets wet it wont start and then the battery dies from me trying to get it to started. i missed work today because i cant get it go in. but it stooped raining so i am going back out there. wish me luck!

Man, I was at the bank and this guy with a huge van was having some trouble. I go to get in my car and he says, "Excuse me" in real bad English.

He's trying to jump his van with god knows wtf they were, little gadgets and shit plugging it into his cigarette lighter etc.

I ended up 15 minutes late for work, but I got the cables out and he was on his way. He said, "I ask eight people, no one look at me twice".

Glad I saved him the $200 something for a tow, or even more trouble. But yes, the preceeding eight people were assholes, or xenophobic.

What's funny is that some people with newer cars don't know how to get to their batteries...they're covered for some reason now.

i totaly know how this goes, and i would have jumped you in a minute, im 15 miles from joliet.
anyways my battery alsays dies, on account of e leaving my amplifier on, of th e last 2 times, one was in mexico and one was in arizona.
i normally manage one after 10 minutes, the trick is to get your car on the street, and hook up one end of the cables, and stand there waving the cables at cars.

one thing though, i was in my home town with my jeep with a snowplow on it (also has a bad battery) while its snowing. the battery dies out in the parking lot of a grocery store. luckily i see a cop dreiving by and wave him down.

as im standing there in the freezing sleet he slowly opens his window and ask him for a jump

kepp in mind thta this is one of the SUV cops, a supervisor. he looks right at me and says "ARE YOU CRAZY" and refuses to jump me.

i have also been refused for a jump by a milwaukee police officer after he pulled me ober on i-43 and wrote me a ticket and lost my licence in his car! in the sub zero temps i had to wave down a jump.

i was also denied help by the scottsdale police department outside of phoenix AZ by 2 police officers.

i dont get why the hell they wont jump my car....
or why i dont get a new battery

That sucks! One of the advantages of living in a small town in the south is that people are more willing to help someone in such a situation. The starter went out in my old car (Mitsubishi - a real POS) and I had a guy stop and try to help me within about 15 minutes, and I didn't even have to flag anyone down either....

Man I moved to my current home in Idaho last year, I'm moved from L.A. so keep in mind I've never driven in the snow.

My apartment was at the top of a hill and on christmas day I was driving home after the first really big snow storm and ended up just sliding all the way back down the hill and hitting a pathfinder (at the time I was driving a Suzuki Swift)

Well took care of all that bullshit and then next day I was going to a fabric store to buy some vinyl to put over my now missing back windshield. I pull into the parking lot (it's in a really werid location too, like by a trailer park off to one side of the freeway)and find out that the store is closed. My phone rings, I answer it and land myself in a big ass snow drift. I was STUCK!!!

Nobody was driving out there since it was such a strange location so after a bit of crying i decide to climb out and try to dig myself out with my windshiel scraper. Yeah... that doesn't work in case anybody was wondering.

Probably after 15 minutes or so this a lady pulls up in the parking lot and she says "Is the store closed?" "I'm like yeah, I'm kinda stuck do you think you guys can help me?"... she didn't even say anything. Just got right back into her car and drove off."

I climb back in my car attempting to reach all 3 of the people I've happened to meet in my two weeks in my new hometown with no luck. Another 20 minutes or so and this big ass truck comes down the road headed toward the trailer park. He slows down, rolls down the window, leans out, points, and laughs as he drive off... I started crying and finally gave in a called a tow truck.

Doesn't that seem really sad to anybody else. I try to help everyperson that I can, especially when it comes to car trouble because I know how frustrating it is.

anyway sorry for the novel but I thought it fit.

Damn, what an ass! :eek: Sorry to hear that, though. Hopefully that guy will get his due someday. Do you live in a large city there? I've found people in big cities tend to be very cold and callous, which is why I prefer small towns nowadays....
