Okay, the police claim that it's 408,000$ worth of drugs. That means that each lb. of chocolates would net over 4500$. Does that sound fucked up to anyone else? Chocolates are heavy, and pure mushrooms don't cost anywhere near that much by the pound. The cops have no clue what street values are, I suppose.

Say you get busted with 8 oz. of mushroom chocolates, but theres only 5 grams of shroom powder in them, do you get charged with having a half pound of shrooms, as opposed to a few grams?

same as with LSD.

Be it dropped on paper, sugar cubes, or nuts and bolts, the court weighs the entire package.

So... don't drop acid on nuts and bolts and heavy things in particular. it may be funny, but it's actually more illegal than the normal ways.

That math is really off. Even if it was 9 pounds of straight shrooms,
it's worth less than 10% of their estimate.

My guess is that they weighed the 2005 Toyota Corolla with the candy in it.

It concerns me that the police can just make up a value for any illicit
item. Right now, I could be holding a joint worth $100,000 with
intent to distribute. That'll get me life in prison for sure.

And they wonder why people keep selling drugs. They inflate the prices openly like that. If i didnt know shit about selling mushroom chocolates, i would think "Holy shit! 9 lbs of something can be sold for 400k! sign me the fuck up!". They should just lie and say.... the man was pulled over in his 82 Ford Colt for massive exhaust pouring out, he was foud with 9 pounds of mushroom chocolates which had a street worth of 300 dollars, or 60 dollars at a friends house party. The man will spend the next 14 years in jail..... If they are going to lie, they should just go all out. Rap music does enough to glamorize the life of a drug dependant and dealers.
