I think they cancelled it because no one watched it. They brought it back because of its DVD sales.... wait, now Im sure of this.


Yeah, thats why, it was in a bad time slot where other shitty shows like Friends played at the same time.

FOX also gave seth mcfarrlen (sp?) another cartoon series called American Dad. it premeires after the suber Bowl.

he must have really made FOX bend over to get his creative genious back on netwrk TV.

I thought they cancelled it because of the Jewish episode, and they found the thing too offensive for the number of viewers it was getting?

It was still pretty popular if I remember, I know I watched all of them and got both DVDs. Can't wait for the new episodes

Regardless, family guy was the same show back then as it is now, and Fox has really poor taste if they couldn't recognize the potential in it. It's the network's fault for putting it in a bad time slot.

They didn't give the show a chance and now that it's popular they come crawling back
