He's not levitating. Its one of the oldest tricks in the book.My grandfather was a professional magician and has performed that trick many times. For a real levitation you would probably need to be able to use nearly 100% of your brain, which most everyone is incapable of.

Actually, I've read that it's a myth that we only use 1-10% of our brains. Think about it... why would we evolve these amazingly powerful brains to only use a fraction of their abilities? I believe that it's just myth that we only use a little brain power.
That being said, and even if it's not true, how would one levitate? Does the part of the brain that we're not using contain a jetpack? I don't understand how I could fly if I use 100% of my brain.
I'm not trying to be a know-it-all or a jerk, I'm just trying to get what you're saying.

1-10% at a time, if i recall corectly.
Disincluding lower brain functions like breathing and temperature regulation and such.
Activity varies based on what an individual is doing, but there isn't just grey matter sitting up there with no purpose.I mean, come on, that's just idiotic to think that.

Invisibility, levitation, and telepathy are just a few of the "skills" possibly controlled by "higher order" brains... IIRC, the theory goes along the lines that you are perceiving so much, so quickly, and doing such thourough analysis on everything around you, you could more or less "walk" up a bunch of molecules like a set of stairs... To everyone around you, it would appear you were levitating or flying, but you'd probably not be noticing anything around you but the molecules in the air that are constantly shifting and finding the correct places to put your matter at the correct times so you don't fall on your face... In a sense, you ARE the jet pack. Bending and refracting light certain ways might be possible with your mind, and you can get invisible / chameleon effects... Oddities like so, but with scientific backings, however far fetched.

I had this trick down when I was in junior high school. Basically you have to be positioned in front of the person with your back to them. You also be about four feet in front and about two feet to their right. Position is important as that is how you hide the foot you are using to levitate. Then, slowly raise your right foot only a little while keeping the left foot straight so that it looks like you are levitating a little. You have to practice alot but it can be very convinving. However, this is not exactly the same as David Blaine, I have seen him just plain float straight up. He has good gimicks!
