 extracts and food coloring???

i was wondering if any one has used food coloring while
growing? i was thinking of adding a few red drops to water
when i dunk my cakes. or would it be easier to dye after
drying? also after dried i was thinking of putting a few
drops of cherry extract into the bag, any one use extracts?

ummmmm sorry for being so ignorant... but why the *fuck* would you want to colour anything? i don't even understand what you want to colour actually... weird question man... could you please reword it? sounds like u want to dye cakes, then further on it sounds like you mean sporophores... hmmmmm

ive read the older post on adding food color and they all
dont post what came of it. i thought it would be cool to
have different colored shrooms geez, and that last part was
for flavor like adding different extracts to lightin up the
o'natural

I think it would be pretty funny to hand you friends a few different color shrooms, but this is some thing
you would want to do to them after harvest. What if your cake becoms contam'd between flush's, and you have allready dyed it.. you would not be able to see the contam?? Scary thought dont you think?

Pink shrooms, that would be awesome. 
I don't think the "camouflaged contaminants" would be a real problem; green mold would still be green, brown would still be brown, etc. and white molds you have to recognize by their physical appearance anyway. But I don't know why you would want to flavor psilocybe mushrooms; most people try not to taste their shrooms as they're eating them.

I doubt the mushrooms would pick up the cherry flavor from the substrate, after all when you grow mushrooms on birdseed they taste the same, when you grow them on shit they taste the same, when you grow them on rice they taste the same. So I think they would still taste the same.

You would wan't to use albino's to start out with. Would pressure cooking ruin the coloring? Maybe put die in the spray bottle as they grow.

im still goimg to experiment and tell whaat happends it
will take a few weeks because i just started my first batch
ever! but i will reeport good or bad i dont mind loosing
