I gave

Dad : Season 1 and Season 2 of "Curb Your Enthusiasm"

Mom : Coffee Grinder, 4 bags of flavored coffee, candles

I got : 2 DVDs, some Georgia Tech clothes, 1 cup coffee maker with stainless steel mug (awesome!), book, and an exorbitant amount of money in checks

I got a digital camera, it isn't that big of one, but it also takes video as well, I gave a gift certificate to my dad and some earrings to my mom...I got to charge up my rechargable batteries before I get my camera to work again...then I will install the software so I can get pictures on my computer...

I got a shitload of besy buy gift cards! that's all i asked for...my dad sent me a new grill and a bunch of food from omaha steaks, very good stuff. i got my little brother an acoustic guitar and a sweatshirt, my sister gift cert to hot topic, my mom a couple books, and my dad & step mom tickets to a play. any ideas on what i should get at best buy? i'm thinkin' the simpsons season 5, i didn't know that was out yet but someone earlier in this thread said they got...also need a digital camera, and some cd's..that should just about blow all the gift cards.

that is great! that way you can buy what you want with the gift cards...sounds pretty sweet to me. The simpsons DVD sounds good...I am a big fan of that show as well...I like the newer episodes better though... Well, I am going to relax...I will be back on later tonight sometime...enjoy your holiday!

Got: Glass piece, new clothes (sorely needed), weed (hazardous!), 12 pack of Sam Adams, Herb Grinder, 10 Lortabs, coffee maker and sevral pound of coffee (seems a popular theme). etc, etc.....
Gave: To my wife- many high$ clothes (sorely needed).
To my daughter- Radio Flyer tricylcle, cook set, V-smile, Care Bears stuff, clothes...
To my family: clothes and worldly stuff, save for my brother in law, to whom I gave a handmade metal working of a lizard.

Everyone was so happy and so was I because I've been too poor up to this year to give my family any decent presents so it felt so cool this year to give some great ones. Time to cook some salmon...

At present, I haven't gotten anything for Xmas, mostly because I haven't has a chance to get up to where where my step-dad lives. I don't mind because he's giving me his old car, which has been reconditioned top to bottom.

I really can't afford to give anyone anything this year, but it's cool. If I could, I would though. Besides, what can I give to my step-dad who literally has everything. He's an MD and has all kinds of stuff anyway.  The real point of the holidays is to be with everyone in my family. After you get about 25 or so, you realise that reaffirming family bonds is really what counts, and not what loot you can get.

So with that, I wish you all a joyous Noel! :laugh:

I got a new coleman single burner camp stove, a new nug jar, some really nice socks,and a few other things that I can't remember. I gave a nice jade bracelet, a cool crystal, a calander, and a shiitake log.

not a big year for me..my mom mailed me some new pants, which I needed for work, and some food goodies like homemade deer jerky that my step-dad made from a deer he killed this year. my brother gave me and set up a wooden shelf thing where my dvds/cds are now neatly located. my mom also mailed us some money, but he quickly snapped that up for necessities. I don't even know if my dad/grandfather sent any money or a card to my old address since I've kind of lost contact with them. this year was kind of a downer since I didn't spend it with family other than my bro who was asleep, but whatever I don't really celebrate xmas much anyway.

I gave my mom some organic Ethiopian coffee, a friend a hand carved giraffe (she collects giraffes) from Kenya, got my bro some RAM since his pc badly needed it (it doesn't work, gonna send back), and that's it really.
