i'd say go with ebay. research the amp's regular price at american musical supply or musicias friend and maybe read some equipment reviews at harmony central then compare and decide.
Ebay rocks tho for musical equipment. I got a 2500 dollar soldano head in near perfect condition for 1000 dollars through ebay so i would have to recomend that. Just do your research.

Spend the skrill for a Line 6 you will be more than satisfied. Digital all the way.

But line 6's SUCK miserably at playing clean which is a HUGE disadvantage for those times where you feel for more laid back playing and stuff.

i use a crate mx65r combo amp and it plays both pretty well. nice clean and nice dirty channels. it also kicks out nice feedback. i've played a huge b-52 stack before(with a b52 head, don't know which one) too and i have to say that it can pump out some power....so that's my experience with amps as of now. i think joe satriani plays a line 6 and it sounds pretty good on the dvds i have of g3...but you can't really tell unless you're there

Remember though, that they say in order to double volume the wattage has to be increased tenfold or whatever.

what kinda of music do you play? If you play blues/jazz you deffinetly want something with tube construction My tube amp is a mesa boogie bullet, but its not something thats terribly cheap. If you play rock/metal(anything distorted) i'd recomend line6's, but they are expensive. peavy makes a good deal for a practice amp.
