Does anyone have experience with either of these types of shrooms? Is one preferable to the other? Any comments would be appreciated.

Stropharia(see also: Psilocybe) Cubensis is preferable to new growers for relative ease in cultivation, and has a decent potency...Copes(cyans and tropicalis) have roughly double potency but are not quite the 'starter shroom' that Cubies are, although it is not extremely hard to grow them either... If you are wanting to try your hand at growing shrooms, try growing out a couple strains of cubes before giving the copes(pans) a whirl.. Good Luck

i am cultivating copelandia right now. from what ive heard they are alot more potent than psilocybin. i have some experience with cultivating psilocybin but not very much and the copelandias should be growing soon. it doesnt take experience it just takes knowlegde and you got to be able to ask advanced questions and be able to find information. experience just makes it easier. if you want to start cultivating copelandia then pm me and ill tell you an awsome substrate.
hey, you got to be genuine thats the name of this game. if you're real, then you aint got nothing to worry about, but if youre synthetic then starting tomorrow you're balls come off!

In reply to:

are you saying cyanescens are more potent that cubies, or pointing out, wrongfully, that cyanescens dont contain psilocybin?

Chonger, Copelandia cyanescens contains both psilocybine and psilocine. however, environmental conditions produce varying amounts of both. For instance, Tijve found in collections of hawaiian specimens of Copelandia cyanescens that they were high in psilocybine and very low in psilocine. He also analysed the same species from Australia and from Thailand. The Australian specimens were high in psilocine and very low in psilocybine. So there can be quite a difference but they always have both indoles in them and sometimes even baeocystine. have a shroomy day
Have a shroomy day and may all of your days be shroomy.

mjshroomer: what is the significance of the fact that copelandia cyanescens has both psilocybine and psilocine? does this make for a different (or better) trip?
