I need a couple of opinions....

What kind of weed do you think is the best? Ive only been smokin for like 3 years and me and my friends have only gotten our hands on wet, nug, hydro, and just regular shwag. I'd like to know some other types out there and what are the best....

Those aren't types, those are grades!!!

What you want to do is find them by the name... Blue moon, the purples, the hazes, g13 X hash plant, jack herer, trainwreck, mango, pinapple, northern lights... All manner of sativa, indica, and crosses thereof!

There are litterally hundreds of different strains, all with different looks, flavors, aromas, and effects...

my favorite strain so far was grown in oregon and is a cross of hash plant + skunk + white widow...damn that stuff was tasty  :stoned:

That's called adulterated.  Disassociatives are the most often I've heard about, though a few reports of heroin here and there, as well.  That's still not a type of weed, which is our point...

And we're taking it in the meaning of actually wet, of course.

that's fucked up, why have i never encountered this? i guess i don't associate with shady fuckers who would try to sell that shit to me. that sounds like a horrible idea :lol:

  Most people sell it as it is, not as weed......but many inexperienced smokers, and many non-drug users believe it's weed soaked in real jet fuel or embalming fluid.  Yeah I know it's not weed, just figured everyone knew what it was and was sold as.  :shrug:

Hashplant is good. Today though, I had Blueberry weed, Shiva hempstar, and Jamaican somethin or another. All great, but the Jamaican was amazing. The colour of the weed was grey because it was covered in crystal. And damn did it ever get me high.

I've also had northen lights, which is pretty good.

shwag= shitty weed that wasnt dried properly and packed tightly for export. This stuff sucks coz a lot of the THC is destroyed during export, and it just generally tastes like ass.
Hydro= Usually means just good weed, or if you use the word in a true sense, its hydroponically grown ganja.
Nug= Just an amount of weed. A nug= a nugget. Nuggets are just a little bunched up flowery area. It doesnt mean its good, it just means that its a peice of weed.

None of thesae are types of weed.
But anyways, the best weed ive tried would probably be Pineapple, Blueberry, and Super Skunk

ive been a fan of any kind of haze. Silver Haze or Jamaican Haze. Any dominant sativa or dominant indica, and sometimes i like a little 50/50 mix.

Around here no one knows the name of the weed they are selling so they just refer to it as kind bud (kb) mid grade (midis) or hydro. I've smoked a bunch of weed but not once did I know exactly what kind it was haha.

I can say me and delta9 are really spoiled when i comes to good weed. I love livin in cali. Alot of medical weed from the clubs, where you buy it in a glass jar with the name of weed and a perscription warning on it. The thing i love most about weed is that its like a fine glass of wine. Every different kind has its own unique flavor. If its outdoor it has this sort of spicy bite to the smoke, indoor is a little smoother and cleaner. It can be sweet like the mango strain. Kina tart like Orange Crush. Authentic Purple just has this amazing full thick smoke that like coats your entire mouth so u taste the weed for like 10 minutes after you smoke. Theres just so much variety. Each one that has different attributes to the high.

out here everything we get is canadian indoor. lately there has been a fair amout of purples going around. some purple haze and some. purpleheads. same thing maybe? anyway i like the taste and odor the the bud, and the high is very clean, but it doesn't feel peticularly strong. personally i think i like this stuff more then the real high THC content stuff as those are almost unpleasantly strong, almost parinoid. is that the THC content or something having to do with the curing process of the weed?

THC content has to do with genetics and how it was grown. The purple haze and purpleheads could be the same thing but you tell us you smoked it. :smirk: The curing process has to do with it to because using the wrong methods can lower THC content but curing methods can not make content higher.

as everyone else has already said, the things you listed aren't types of weed; just classifications. "nug" isn't even a classification. but anyway...

the best i've ever had was northern light, but the stuff i'm really trying to get hold of is called Skywalker, it's a hybrid of mazar and blueberry, two very good indicas. it's supposed to be fantastic, and it looks the part:

Actually, *proper* curing can increase the potency of your bud... improper curing is just going to make it a really harsh smoke. But that's why I'm the botonist/horticulturist and you're the mycologist/horticulturist :P

Blue Moon was the best, most unique smoke I had in California (once medical, it was ok, once ghetto, and that shit rocked!). The "best" buds I've ever had, I don't remember the names (spoiled kids in Europe) aside from one killer batch of Northern Lights.

... Since we're talking about favorites and what not. White Widow just LOOKS potent - it's not that potent. G13 isn't even that great. And whatever the "real" G13 the government has in Mississipi is not so great either. Meh.

northern lights all the way. canadian bud rocks. also, there was a strain a buddy of mine managed to breed, which he calls white widow. evidently it is a cross between white lightning (which i haven't seen in years) and widow. this stuff was potent and sweet tasting. too bad his mother plant was destroyed when he moved.

Let me pre-emptively answer for him...

Nah, we have a lot of access to the medical stuff, because a lot of people have medical licenses (I will when I get back to Cali, and he has valid medical reasons as well).

BUT, honestly, the ghetto connects hook it up better than the clubs do, both in quality and quantity - generally.  However, this is in part due to the medical scene.  If they weren't consistently providing the quality that they do (and it's a LOT better than the average around the country, I'd say) in the medical clubs, the non-medical people wouldn't need to be stepping it up, either.

That's not to say EVERYTHING out on the street is better than the medical stuff up there, but we have a nice ghetto connect that keeps it nice.

Of course, that's you assuming he is using it for recreation, though it is medically, spiritually, and recreationally (marijuana is the BEST medicine because it's also ENJOYABLE, ah, we do love it :laugh:).

purebred White Widow all the way. The high I get from this stuff is more euphoric, psychedelic, and social than any other herbs I've smoked.

Mazar is another one of my favorites.

Delta answered this for me cause he was there for alot of the bud we got, and to answer your question i have a medical reason i just aint gotthe scratch right now to get it.

I thought id go a little more into depth with that question. The thing about feeling bad because its somebodys medicine, there is no shortage of bud, the majority of the weed is grown by the cardholders themselves and sold to the club. If it was about the availibility of it and because i got it someone had to do without there medicine i wouldnt buy it even though i have a valid medical reason for which i could get a card, because my med. reason is fairly minor compared to many others. The club is good because its REALLY conveinent and they have GREAT variety, you could get almost any quality and strain you could imagine, Different kinds and grades of hash, keef, pot candy bars that look like tha popular production one only they are called smokers for snickers, weederbudder cups for reeses, chronic bars for crunch bars, smores bars, rice crispies treats, Jars o peanut butter and jelly with weed in it, brownies, cookies, concentrated THC drops that a couple drops will have you good for twelve hours or more. AHHHHHHHH i love CALI :heart: :heart: :heart: :heart: But like Delta said we got a nice Ghetto hookup that keeps the bud as good as the club if not better, although not nearly as good a selection.

Gah. Wish I knew the strain names of the two best kinds I've had. One the guy called "Mexican Red Hairs", if that's even a real strain. It didn't look to have too many crystals, but that could have been because the entire bud was covered in tiny red hairs. Two bong hits and nobody could take any more, our throats burned like hell. It was the craziest weed I've had to date, yelled full blast at my sister to answer the phone when it wasn't even ringing. Then there was some stuff I got about a week back that the guy called "California Orange". Tonsa crystals and very orange bud, also smelled and tasted citrusy. Not sure if either of em are real strains, but they were both crazy.

Hmm, well...

Just recentley (less than a week ago) i bought a 1/4 of weed which is of unknown strain. Anyway, along with this i bought a bong which as i felt was rather appropriate for the time i decided to use.

So i lit the stuff up and took ONE toke. ONE FUCKING TOKE AND I WAS GONE! I could barely move and i started getting auditory hallucinations (this bit scared me quite a bit actually...i kept thinking my friend was opening the door when he was quite obviously upstairs and i also kept hearing an engine revving which i associated with my dad comming home. Oh and of course the whole phone ringing thing...) and slight visual distortions and colour stripes on the curtains. This lasted for about 3-5 hours. What the hell was this stuff? Oh, i havn't smoked any since...

how was it colored? was it bright green or a different color altogether? the guy i do business with now never knows the strain of what he gets, but he'll get stuff that's that potent sometimes, so it's not completely unheard of to take one hit and trip out for a few hours.

Personally never heard of or seen a strain called "Mexican Red Hairs" - that doesn't mean it doesn't exist :smile:.  However, "California Orange" could be one of two strains, of the same name, depending on whether it was grown from seed (then it was the SensiSeeds Cali Orange, now called Cali Indica to differentiate from the *real* Cali Orange, I'm sure) or clone (then it is the original Cali Orange).  I know the original is supposedly cooked up in the early 1980s (so the fact that it's still going around and only in clone form is amazing), and 50% indica/sativa mix (very nice, you usually have bud somewhere in between, rarely at a balance or on either extreme).

Oh and... if I double post I was just worried about over-editing my last in-between someone elses's posting... it's not about the crystals in the least.  The crystals mean jack squat.  That's why white widow isn't that great, just because it has a lot of crystals :wink:.  It's the TRICHOMES we care about, damnit, and you can't see them without a microscope!

^ You see me harping on the potency of white widow a lot...  It should be noted most *any* strain if grown competently can be good and potent.  White Widow gets a bad rep in my book because one of its characteristics is the christmas tree covering of crystals...  And people push it as being uber potent, whether it is or not.  And that's not good :frown:

On the other side, most *any* strain if grown incompetently can be complete crap.

Sinsimilla is a tek on growing. It makes the bud seedless, you just kill the males and grow the females. That way when the plant grows the energy that would have gone into producing seeds get put into making the buds bigger and more potent. So really and good bud is sinsimilla.

I haven't read all the posts in this thread so I'm not sure if any ones posted this yet but what the hell. You need to check out www.overgrow.com, they have the most extensive strain guide I've ever seen (http://www.overgrow.com/strainguide/) and a great forum. The strain guide is all reports of peoples grow, including taste, smell, appearance, ease to grow and much more with plenty of pictures of the plant and the buds. Its outstanding. The biggest community of cannabis lovers on the planet.

Personally my favorite strain is Dutch Passions Blueberry, but its got to be that right pheno so its real fruity. Nice clean sativa high. Then again if you want to get wasted, some hydro AK47/AK48 owns you up and down.

Nobody seems to have mentioned any of the G= Government varieties.
They are given numbers.

My good friend is a master grower in cali(has been for years). He Grows legal medicinal stuff.
His best bud and my personal favorite (super heady/physical as well as being VERY strong as far as the cognative high) was the G13.
He has grown so many varieties. This G13 was pretty hard to believe. The kind of stuff that is being imitated in amsterdam(all about the competition). You flat out trip after one hit....

So ya, my fav., and my opinion of what is best is G13. That and a VERY dark green bud that smelled like actual throwup. This stuff was clearly as strong if not stronger than g13, it just was not very fruity and I love fruity tasting buds.
G13 is a hash plant and im pretty sure its almost entirely indica.
It would give an old man a heart attack. I would not give half of the stuff he grows to an old man or woman. Im sure it depends alot on where and how it was grown. In N Cali its basically a maritime climate. Probably why N Cali has possibly the best buds in the world. (my friend didnt say exactly that, but the word is out)

Yeah, i got 2 eights of g13 for 70$ bucks... i got quite the deal. But that hook is gone.... and they stoped making that weed too :frown:.
