Good job, the way I always handled it was to look through the bag and see if the
majority were fairly large and if the veils are starting to tear, you may want to
wait until a few caps start to drop spores so that you can make some prints for
future use and for trading...

cut the bag right below the seam where it was sealed, harvest the mushrooms with
a gentle pull and twist, you may need to push the substrate mass up a little
or even remove it from the bag in order to harvest all of them, try and remove
every piece of stem and even the small pins.

once you've done that, you can case the entire mass in the bag, I usualy fill
the bag with distilled water and allow it to soak in the fridge for about 12
hours and then drain it for about three by inverting it on a rack so that the
opening is below the substrate... a bakers rack or any sort of wire rack works

after it drains, you can then add a casing layer about 1/4 inch deep thats
been wetted but not soaking, when you squeeze it, it should form a drop or two
but not really dripping. microwave the casing for a minute or two until its
steaming, cover the casing and allow it to cool, once cooled, place as even
a layer as possible over the top of the substrate and then fold the top of the
bag over a couple of times and use paper clips or tape to hold it closed.

in doing this you should be able to get as many as 5 flushes, 3 is probably the norm.

so microwave after soaking let cool, then put a casing layer? or is that a second layer you are talking about here "place as even
a layer as possible over the top of the substrate"

dont soak the casing materials, you want it wet but not to the point that it
drips when squeezed, soaking it can cause some problems. once you microwave
it and let it cool, then simply spread it over the top of your substrate
as evenly as you can.

its the same as doing a casing in a tray or a pan but with less hassle and
easier cleanup/disposal when you're done.

also i have some shrooms that are growing on the bottom of the bag and i think are like in the mycelium piss some one called it a brownish liquid, are those safe to eat, shoudl i clean them in any way.
also the bag i crumbled it is like the color the substrate was before it was colonized and its not growing at all, are you suppose to pack the substrate together after you crumble ?

alos what type of casing material should i use
