What the hell are you talking about? I've read half of the Qur'an, still reading it. And from all the shit I've read from other sources, I have always seen the Sunni's are 100% devoted to the religion and everything the Qur'an says. And not all of the shit is peaceful and not all of it supports human rights. It's just too strict man. The Qur'an doesn't work with everything these days. It might have been perfect for Muhamad's time but now it's obsolete and it's ideas and laws do not correspond with today's mentality.

Downforpot, all Sunni's definately do not follow every ayat to the teeth. Heck, I know Sunnis who rarely pray, eat haram foods, and drink alcohol. Shias also happen to accept the Qur'an as God's Word, they simply have a different method of deriving concepts of religious law from it.

Islam too strict? Go find a hippy a religion, or something you can do on the weekend. Islam is a way of life. It's a 24-7 religion.

Btw, today's mentality = shit. Thank God for Islam.
