mi friends are burnouts

am I the only one who likes to just get stoned and continue with life. Everyone I know feels the need to continuously smoke a joint every 10 minutes. This is how you become a burnout and it makes weed not even fun. i like to just chong out once and ride it out, then maybe smoke again when my previous high is gone.

I know whatcha mean about friends turning into burnouts. Around my freshman or sophmore year of college I noticed everyone was getting fried. I dont know what it is, but I smoke everyday and have no problems. Like you said Im not smokin a joint every 10 minutes either. I usually like to smoke a bong or two, here ans there, throughout the day. This doesnt seem to have too many negative effects on me. Still get As in school, go to work, etc. Some of my old friends on the other hand are constantly baked and pretty much stagnant in life. To each his own. You should try to find some people that are more like minded.

i was in a rut of smoking constantly throughout the day last spring/summer. it was fun at first, but quickly became very counterproductive (and expensive)..i like your technique a lot more now though, i try not to get high again until i have completely come down. i also try to get the maximum effect out of the smallest amount smoked as i possibly can..such as taking only 2 or 3 hits before class as opposed to totally blasting myself with fat bong bowls. i find i can still enjoy marijuana's beautiful effects without clouding my mind and wasting the pot.

that is key... when I said one or 2 bongs, I forgot to mention that the bowl piece is like a one hitter. Its my moms Graphics from the 70s, and no they didnt use the "x" back then.  :bong: :thumbup:

yea, your probly all right that I should get new friends.  I was never to good at it though.  Havent met anybody that thinks similar to me in the marijuana moderation way(except for yall). Everybody I know either doesnt smoke and dislikes me for doing it or is a burnout and watches TV all day.  And I sure do hate TV.  Maybe I'll just give up smoking. :shrug:

only give it up if it is being detrimental to your progress as a person, not because your social circle disapproves. Sometimes it pays to take a break from the people you know. Spend some time on your own, cultivate some new ideas or other things, practice something. You will then feel more fulfilled with yourself and wont need others opinions. I'm not advocating a life as a hermit, but only a break to revitalize the senses of yourself and hopefully the senses of your so called friends. Keep your head up and you'll do fine.

This is what im in right now, a kind of social lull.. since i cut way way way way back on my smoking and deleted a bunch of phone numbers this summer, i have been discovering myself all over again. It has been a very productive and healthy semester to say the least. Friends will come in time, ive atleast got one good friend for life.

it is hard to find friends that dont want to party all the time at college... Its like they are just starting to get into it.. and ive already been there done that for some solid years.

yeah thats my situation as well. I meet all these kids in school that are trying stuff for the first time... and I quit it like 4 years ago. Maybe Im just getting old :lol: I still have 2 great friends that know how to party and get their shitt done, so thats who I try to be around when not delving into the abyss of my mind alone.

Yea i have friends like that
Its just crazy, they can roll up 3 to 4 blunts to smoke up in about a 5 hour period.
Thats just wasteful. One of those blunts keeps me high for a good 5 hours.
Unless its like april 20th or your birthday or something, i dont see the point in that sort of excess.
