Well mine is German, and I know you asked about Asian 2 door, but I own a 4 door Volkswagon Jetta, Hence the name. It gets about 35 miles to the Gallon in the city and about 40 on highway. If you get a diesel Jetta they get about 50 to the gallon in the city and about 55-60 on the highway. I do have an CAI on mine and an exhaust now that makes it get about 5 - 7 miles better though. If you ever decide to buy based on speed and tourqe get this

I found em locally, hah. I dont know if i want to buy a car now while my current shitbox (mazda 626) is still able to move about. Id rather wait until I have a little bit more money to shop around with. Either way, once my car needs more than 200 dollars worth of work, I'm ditching it.
Oh yeah, and that swift looks like shit.

if you want mileage dotn get a 6. teh BEST car i have ever seen for mileage is the sprint/firefly. suzuki made it (i forget their model name) and chevy/pontiac bought them and put their names on tehm (liek they did with the tracker). we get high 60's with teh 2 we have owned. 3 cyl, 2 or 4 door (we only had 2 doors). it is better or equal to hybrids. to me hybrids are pretty fucking stoopid. they may save gas but they still put power in them and use a lot of gas. tehir mileage is comprable to full gas economy cars (60's). mayeb some are better now? anyway i liek teh sprints but they are noisy and small. our neighbour a looooooong time ago converted one into electric.
the other is volks. jetta. they are a nice more comfy car and get great mileage.
my fave (cause i dont liek diesels) is my little escort. i got the newer design and it gets mid 40's (which includes highway, city, and logging roads-which are HUGE gas eaters). they a 4 door though and their 2 door zx2 i really dont liek the feel of. anyway they are great cars for comuting, traveling, city shit and they make a mean off road stock car.

No offense, but the suzukis, escorts and jettas dont really catch my eye. I want something that is a little more "sleak" than a boxy VW jetta or older escort. Plus, I dont trust Ford, I'd rather own a Mitsuibishi I'm not looking to get anything past 31 average mpg, I just dont want to be stuck with something that averages around 20.
Still no other Integra owners?

A very nice, sporty, fast, reliable, smooth driving, good handling, safe, and good on gas car is the Toyota Celica. It comes both standard and automatic. My ex-gf had a 2001 Toyota Celica GT automatic, it was all of the above I posted, and a very sharp looking car. A friend of ours liked it so much when he seen it, he went out and bought himself one, he got the GTS (Manual version) version. He totally tripped it out, with a body kit, details, dual exhaust, and a bunch of shit under the hood, including a chip. You can get very good deals on these cars. I know they are only a 4cylindar, however my ex-gf's which was automatic was fucking FAST. The fastest she ever took it up to was 135, she was with my sister at the time trying to catch up with me. I was in a 1992 Dodge Minivan but had a major head start hah... She ended up totalling the car that day, lost it going around a sharp turn at 135mph, spun in 2 360's, up a ditchbank doing a 360 in mid air, slammed a tree, came back into the road went up the other ditchbank and hit another tree. They both walked out of it without a scratch. The engine was totalled though. So I know this car is VERY SAFE. I had it up to 144 mph one night when I was driving it, it still wanted to go but there was no road left. You can cruise around in that car all day on E. The car is AWESOME on gas. Although gas prices have gone up =[

ya celicas are awsoem cars! and very easy to modify. i like almost all of toyotas newer stuff. but the Matrix SUCKS BALLS if your over 6'.
they are very lucky they are still alive, nevermind scratchless. toyotas are safe but that is plain luck.
