Hey, i went shroomin this mornin in a field in florida. Notice how they are mainly all white? is that good? They grew out of cow shit. But most of the shrooms ive picked before had the yellow/brown in the middle. They turned purple underneath the caps after i picked them, but not the stems. Plus, they have no frill on the stems either. Are they Psilocybe (sp?) Cubenis? Check out the pics and let me know! thanks.

psilocybe cubensis turn blue or sometimes green when damaged, if by purple you mean ink/indigo-blue then they are probably ok, but if its a definate purple, then no, ive seen mushrooms that bruise purple too and they arent a psychoactive variety. your pics diddnt come up. now a purple print could be a good thing if thats what you mean, and some strains of cubensis lack a visable annualis once fully mature, a white specimine would be consistant with a fully mature specimine that has lost its golden color through sun-fading. but the gills yould still be dark brown. generally darker on older mushrooms, practically black with very old specimines.
keep them, but dont eat them untill someone who can ID them tells you they are ok. its rather hard to tell for sure at this point.

I've never heard of a Psilocybe cubensis that didn't bruise blue - I'm sure even Mitch will agree with me here...
...your pics don't work. Ensure they are < 100k and read the instructions I posted in aussieshroomshead's thread titled, "look what I found..."
