Don't say that they can't get any worse. You still enjoy cigarettes and alcohol don't you?

Look, let me explain something. I'm not Mr. Lebowski; you're Mr. Lebowski.
I'm the Dude. So that's what you  call me.  That, or Duder.  His  Dudeness.
Or El Duderino, if, you know, you're not into the whole brevity thing.

I dont want them thrown out, I just am not a fan. I think they should be legal along with pretty much every other drug. There are some that I would keep illegal. I think pretty much any substance should be legal because then the government can tax, regulate, and sale it. That would solve a lot of the drug related crimes, and it would help get the government some more $$ to spend on wars. It would also let the buyer know exactely what they are getting so they dont put some potentially harmful chemical into their body.

I meant "you" in the general sense. It can always get worse, believing it can't just sets you up for disappointment.

Drug laws can get a lot worse. Some countries have no due process for drug offenses. I hear in Turkey, you can actually be executed for possession of marijuana(though I'm not sure how much this is enforced). Some countries don't have entrapment laws, so a narc can come up and offer you some weed and then arrest you.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Turkey doesn't even have capital punishment.

Maybe I'm thinking of getting your hand chopped off. In any case, the laws are much more harsh than they are in the U.S.

They don't have that in Turkey either.

What's your point? Sweden has some pretty draconian drug laws too.

Sweden probably doesn't execute marijuana smokers though.

Maybe so, but they're probably at least as bad as the U.S.

Find it yourself. I said "probably" because too lazy to look it up myself.

Hey, I'm just going by what I've heard. I haven't seen you back up your claims with sources either.

Looks like Ashcroft's swan song is going to be begging the Supreme Court not to let chronically ill Americans be voluntarily euthanized.

I can't count the ways I hate this man.

See, Bush isn't so bad after all...

Well actually, though I disagreed with Ashcroft on a hell of a lot of things I was always disturbed the hatred people directed at the guy. I think he was a good man, and pretty much everybody liked him while he was in the Senate. He became a straw man for the left. I'm glad he is gone though. For us and for him.
