Storing Libs in Alcohol?

I was considering storing some dried Liberty Caps in something like Jack Daniels or another whiskey for consumption at xmas - does alchohol do anything to the activeness in degrading potency, am I wasting a good drink in doing it, better to just store dry?

thoughts/comments? - many thanks.

the drink won't taste as good after putting dried shrooms in it but the advantage is that you can trip of a couple shots.

I don't know if you can leave the shrooms in the wiskey or that you have to filter them out after a few days. when they are powdered the goodies goodies get better into the drink.

I may try 2 batchs - one powdered and one whole, see which one works best!

when powdered everything gets absorbed much faster and you'll likely get more out too. I'm pretty sure powdered works best but if you feel like experimenting (wich is fun :cool:) just make 2 batches :thumbup:

I use Baerhenjager(sp?) a honey based cordial. Powder em up and soak for a couple weeks in the dark The honey helps preserve the goodies better than plain alky.This stuff is one shot = 4g so you don't go getting all f/ued and puking from alky.
PS Jaegermeister works good also but the best for libs dried is plain honey I still have a half gallon jar of them that a teaspoon will kick ass that is 7yrs old.
