Stropharia rugoso-annulata

Stropharia rugoso-annulata, grown on 3" of wood chips
mixed with straw and saw dust that was used to bed chickens.
so plenty of chicken poos as well.

Spawned in spring, using collonised millet.





These two are a bit insect damaged, due to me forgeting they were there.





but hoping the pins will give me some tasty meals.
As i've slug pelleted and protected them with upturned
buckets.

Think the idea with chicken poo is great since it must provide a lot of nutes ...
So you only used the bedding, or did you just mix the chicken bedding to straw and sawdust ?

The straw and saw dust is the chicken bedding, I just mixed it into
wood chips (shredded tree surgery chipings) and spread it out as
a mulch in one of my working areas, then forogt about them lol.

Nice supprise to find such fine sized fruits, i was just out
feeding the chickens, and the pins are coke can sized now, so i'll update some pics when it stops raining.

They look amazingly chunky, these are going to make a fine meal im sure, anyone have any cooking tips?
