Use rye grain as spawn, millet also works. Incubate 70-77 deg.
Spawn into manure-enriched compost. Substrate thickness 6-12 inches.
To initiate pinning, lower temp to 60-65 and set humidity at 95-100%.
After pinning, lower humidity to 85-90%
Crops every other week.

i just wanted to add to this I have grown portabella's in the past and I have found that if you case with a peat and calcium carbinate only a little bit of calcium carbinate and you really do not have to have much humidity but to less humidity will make your caps crack up more and not be as brown. with egg heads and my combo you will be growing portabella's in no time...

Lallafa.. GGMM is a companion to TMC. Make sure you get TMC first as it has more fundamental info in it. GGMM is more for the commercial grower. Lots of species growth parameters, plus lots of info on setting up a large commercial setup. Um.. So if you're just looking for info on setups, I guess it would be GGMM you want. But you'll find it sorely lacking on some basic info like no pictures/discussion of contams.

For every technique that was created to grow illegal shrooms, that technique will probably work with many other types of shrooms. You should read as much material as you can and use the best ideas/teks from each one. There's a lot of books dealing with mushrooms, search for gourmet shroom books at google or amazon or something and you should come up with what you're looking for ; )

lllafa, I know where you can get that book but as long as you fly your troll tagline, you'll get no help from me. You are a worthless little troll and I don't help trolls.

Captain Max.. I'd like to suggest you take private conversations to PM and not display them here in the Gourmet forum.

Everytime you post anywhere in the shroomery, you are flaming me with your tagline. Change it or I will follow you everywhere. If you just want to pm it to me, then I will return my remarks by pm.
If you had ever actually visited the SporeLab, you would have found an Agaricus bisporus compost formula on the Links page, probably the only shroomery vendor to offer such a file. But of course, you would rather flame than learn.
