its easy to just smoke with a magnifing glass just point the glass at the weed and get the light spot nice and round you can tell by the intense color and light that hurts your eyes (wear sun glasses!) and ofcourse it will start smoking.vaporizing is a bit more ticky with the magnifing glass. you dont want the spot to be so concentrated,and grind up your weed. you just have to get the feel for it just warming it up with short bursts,evenly not in one spot. it all depends on your mag glass and sun light.at first i couldnt tell if i was doing it right because of the lack of smoke untill i got really high!

Actually it would be a hassale, as anyone thats done solar bowls knows.

You need to have free movement, so you can angle it just right, do it wrong and you get a circle thats not tight, and you have light "spill" across the bowl.

A friend and me hiked to the highest peak here in vermont and sat on a cliff with my double perculator bong and took solar bong hits. it was by far the smoothest, tasiest, hit i had ever taken. i didnt even want to eat the lunch i brought had with me because of how good the taste was in my mouth. definatly the best way to smoke if you dont have a vaporizer, no more butane soaked herbs.

that sounds good....it definately sounds worth a try, but definately not something that i can always do. Lighters are just so nice and easy. But if i have the time and place for a solar bowl, i will do it.

I can't believe I have never tried this. Seems like such a fun idea. Sometimes I like to light a candle and keep relighting the lighter with the same flame. Then I feel all united with the flame by the end. Everyone has their rituals.

it's just the fact your smoking it more naturaly.
no lighter fluid, butane.
just the sun.
Just knowing that you shouldn't have to ask that question.

Try and hit your pipe or bong without any pot in it and you will see how much the butane affects the taste.

I was just saying I like the idea of smoking pot more naturaly. The last time i smoked a solar bowl was years ago, but still. Its the idea of it, your smoking a bowl using the sun :sun:

I did this for the first time at folk fest. Its like, until youve done it you dont know how good weed smoke can taste. I personally find it to be awesome. and if you have a good sunny day and know how to do it then it only takes like a second to light the bowl. Ive burned holes in my while trying to do this that beam is hot.

I think you dont notice butane taste cuz youve never tried it without the lighter, or if you have you get sulfur from the matches which is even worse.

And its just trippy to do
