i was born an addict, it's a part of me. not necessarily drugs though.

I smoke weed every day and take lsd/mushrooms 2-3 times a year. Does that make me an addict?

I smoked weed every day for four years and the last year I was smoking 3-5 times a day. I quit this past January (to be fair I have smoked twice since then) and had absolutely no problems. Smoking weed everyday does not mean that you are addicted.

Weed is a habitual addiction. You can quit anytime, but you just get into a habit of rolling another. When I smoked it I was smoking a lot of skunk. Very smelly stuff. Merely walking into my room and smelling the unopend bag would make me want another spliff.
I'm not sure what I class myself as. I think I have alcohol problem. The problem is that once I start drinking, I do not want too stop. I will drink and drink, and go to great lengths to get more. But I can go great lengths of time without a drink and it will not bother me. But just that one drink can set me off on a binge though.
I also go through fazes of alcohol followed by a cocaine or crack craving. I wouldnt class myself as a crackhead, but I can get to a point where after a few beers I will simply crave a rock and nothing can get it out of my head. It has a certain taste. Not a good thing.
I guess all these are psychological, often spurred by the alcohol. Evil drug really.

I'm going to rewrite this a bit. I'll just say im an addict. And I can become addicted to anything. I have already become an addict to a few drugs already. And there are many drugs and things that I haven't tried that bare the possibility of addiction as well. I'm just predisposed to it, ya know. And living suicidal for years makes it a hell of a lot worse. Because there's always that need for compensation. Always.

Everyone has different dependencies in life, wether its drugs or something else. All that matters it that you know how to continue functioning and getting your shit done, even if you do smoke a whole lot of pot or eat lots of mushrooms :P
