Spawn for a bulk project.

Alright So I'v successfully grown Malabars on casings and got terrific results and thick flushes as you can see. But i'm moving on to something bigger with the Orissa strain. I'm thinkning about using worm castings and straw, spawned with WBS because I know the only way to grow the Orissa is with castings or poo. I have 3 quarts of WBS inbubating at about 25% colonization and I plan on doing 1 grain to grain transfer. My question is, will 4 quarts of spawn be enough for a bulk project if I were to use a rather large rubbermade container that you would buy a Wal-Mart.

yes 4 quarts is good
remember the 1:10 ratio
although commercial growers go much lower
so really its just a matter of how patient you feel like being

the more the spone the faster it grows 2x that would grow 2x as fast.

Well better said cthe obly way to grow cubes with with castings or poo.

But its more the straw then the poo or casings since you only mix 10-30% poo or casings.

Wall mart has some big tubs. There largest ones are 40 gal so. You can easily fit 10 gal of substrate 6" deep. 4 quarts of grain would be perfect but how full are your quart jars? You might want to throw 5-6 jars in to get a full gal of spawn.
