THE PRESIDENT: Tribal sovereignty means that, it's sovereign. You're a -- you've been given sovereignty, and you're viewed as a sovereign entity. And, therefore, the relationship between the federal government and tribes is one between sovereign entities.

Now, the federal government has got a responsibility on matters like education and security to help, and health care. And it's a solemn duty. And from this perspective, we must continue to uphold that duty. I think that one of the most promising areas of all is to help with economic development. And that means helping people understand what it means to start a business. That's why the Small Business Administration has increased loans. It means, obviously, encouraging capital flows. But none of that will happen unless the education systems flourish and are strong, and that's why I told you we've spent $1.1 billion in the reconstruction of Native American schools. (Applause.)

Crazy you would show that, I have a journalist friend who saw him say that exact thing in DC a few days ago. She told me that the media tore him up left and right. She also got to shake Kerry's hand. Cool huh?

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity. ~ Albert Einstein

Wow, most forced words for any president I've ever seen. He needed to shake and stutter that nonsense out, and it made him look like an even bigger idiot

He's not very suave

Didnt you watch Bush's rare primetime press conference last spring? He was asked many important and reasonable questions - he blew them off and and stumbled and got frustrated - made little sense. Remember his interview on Meet the Press w/ Russert? Even Republicans were disappointed and dumbfounded - several publicly said so.

I would say Kerry is probably more intelligent, but that's not really saying much. I do think the way he's handling his campaign is really fucking stupid. Any politician with half a brain should be able to clobber Bush in the polls, but instead he's trailing by a little bit.

All i know is the ecomomy fucking sucks atm. Jobs are scarce as ever. I think we are better off with a democrat in office, though it could be cause i'm low income class, and heaven knows republicans are not to well for us poor folk.

It's too bad they didn't show a few more seconds of that clip. You can hear the crowd giggle a little after one statement, but I read in the paper the other day that they busted out into complete laughter after he was done with that answer.
