Very strong muscle spasms, need feedback
    #29692944 -

I had my 4th trip recently, and it had a very weird episode that I need help deciphering.

I took 3.6g of cubes with lemon tek. The setting was the same as before:  empty stomach, in my bed, in the dark, headphones on, with a mixture of trippy tribal and electronic music, mixed in with a couple of emotion-provoking ones (piano, etc). I also prepared by writing down a few things I want to maybe find answers to, but I never have any expectations. You don't get what you want, you get what you need.

The initial phase was very good, nothing special. Strong visuals and many feelings came and went by: laughter, light sobbing, good feelings.

I started to notice that I have a few strong spasms around my abs, throat, and face. My abs contracted so strong that I partially sat up.  I started grinning and snarling and I realized that I cannot really control it. But these were just for a few seconds. Then I had to go to the bathroom...

I went to the bathroom, no music, just silence, and sat down on the toilet. Then I slowly descended into a sobbing and crying state with my face completely locked in: clenched jaws, rock hard muscles all around my face, like a wild animal. I could not control it and it was a bit frightening. I sat up and went to the mirror, got out of this state for a minute or two, but then came the ultimate wave.

I started the same locked in jaws, growling, crying and and extreme spasms. I was staring right in my face and eyes, drooling and crying and growling like an fucking animal that is about to kill or die. At one point I straightened my back and stood up high with the spasm going and I looked similar as the monster from the Thing: an elongated demon with an inhuman expression that is suffering or something similar.

I sat down after the waves went by and concluded that this could be considered a bad trip. But it did not really frighten me, rather it made me think what did my subcounscious want to tell me. I'm a curious person and did all my tripping with the intention of self discovery and deep curiosity. I felt that looking myself right in the eye while this was going was a good thing, like facing my inner demons that were buried deep for a very long time.

The rest of the trip went on, and during it I was thinking about what happened.

I'm a fairly laid-back person with not too much bottled-up anger in me. I have my challenges too (kids, carreer, passing of time) but I was always a stable and grounded person. I'm fairly honest with myself and am not superstitious.

Regardless of what I think about myself, I cannot help but interpret these very hard physical manifestations as some kind of repressed anger coming out. I don't consider it a bad trip at all, but I honestly don't know what I should do with it.

Have you guys had anything similar before? What could this mean?

It sounds to me like subconscious traumatic material is emerging.

It sounds like you are already in the Biographic phase, working towards the Perinatal phase, with the Transpersonal phase to follow.

The party of the Abstract phase is over, your trips now come with homework towards selfimprovement.

Thank you for your answer!

I'm reading this ATM: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/62064624-psychedelic-integration?ac=1&from_search=true&qid=SMFWz35JmG&rank=2

Is the "LSD Psychoterapy" also about the importance of integration? I'm not spiritual at all, but I think what happened to me is a form of "communication" from my subconscious, and I don't want to just shun it away like it was just a weird body thing...

Its very likely a psychosomatic manifestation of an upsurge of deep material in the psyche.

given how you interpret it and what you read, this book will be the best thing you ever read. its the handbook for psychedelic therapists, offering a cartography of the mind as revealed in thousands of high dose trips.

:2cents:

I always get some sort of spasms in my abs/lower back/shoulders/glutes when I consume dried fruits

I personally use this to my advantage by going to the gym when it happens because I know its going to happen anyways, so I channel it into getting an awesome workout in
