Heating a big portable greenhouse.
    #29679119 -

Any ideas?

Would a portable greenhouse heater or two work?

I've used cheap space heaters.

How big was yours though? This one is pretty darn big.

I'll post a photo of it later on.

The bigger greenhouse singley was 24 feet by 6 feet by 7.5 tallest at hoop. But bigger system i ran in my basement was 6 greens houses 8 by 6 feet, with an air pump to force heat/ cold air through.  Different mushrooms for different temperature needs and different humifers linked to all. Cold shock was in the laundry area. Surprisingly how cheap it is to run them in them year round. Back in 2012 to 2015 the avg power bill was 130 bucks a month.  With that much grain spawn production now it be triple that.

I see.

Well,  I don't grow mushrooms. Mine is for all my plants and trees because this apartment I live in is tiny and I can't bring them all inside for the winter.

I'd hate to fork out a lot of cash for a greenhouse heater or two,  only to have them not be able to keep in the heat.

This is the one that I bought.

If its for plants I recommend corn cob lighting and watering often.

Depends on your grow zone.
I've known people that kept the greenhouses warm with their dryer vent.
They had to get in the habit of laundry at night. Sunshine kept it warm during the day

I tried to leave my signature but it didn't work...
By the way... Does anybody know how to get sharpie markers off of a computer screen?

Yeah,  I doubt that would work here though, as my grow zone is 7B.  It's much too cold here. But thanks for the reply buddy

depends on lots of things >

how large is the greenhouse
how good is it at holding any heat
how hot does it need to be for the plants you have
how cold does it get where you are

.. trying to heat and hold the heat in that amazon greenhouse would be like throwing a bucket  of water on a house fire and expecting something to happen.

if you just need to stop it freezing over you might have some success with portable heaters but you are not going to get any decent heat in there.
