Music plays a major role in psychedelic therapy * 2

Quote:
Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy combines psychedelics, music, therapy, and context. Within PAP, music acts as more than a backdrop. It may actively guide the psychedelic experience. Music may influence emotional, mystical, and other acute subjective experiences during PAP, which have themselves been associated with subsequent clinical outcomes. Early studies suggest that participants’ openness to, liking of, and resonance with music are associated with aspects of the psychedelic experience and short-term reductions in depression. Music may also provide temporal structure, emotional containment, and a means of modulating arousal.

I think music or some sort of auditory stimulation/presence triggers experiences. I notices lower frequency things that kind of fired off the next wave of the trip. Kind of like a mantra drone that can help in meditation.

Music sure does make a trip more enjoyable and meaningful in my experience. Cool to see more dots being connected within psychedelic medicine research. Thanks for sharing!:mushroom2:

I usually have music on when I trip and it really helps with the setting. I have had a few times music just did not hit no matter the genre. Those trips were usually more inward and working on myself trips.
I do prefer electronic type of music when tripping although classic rock and pop have been known to really help brighten the trip too.
